Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 24, 2026
Privacy Policy for Triadica Chat Archiver (“the Extension”), developed by Triadica ApS.
1. Overview
Triadica Chat Archiver is a Chrome extension that captures AI conversation histories and archives them to your personal knowledge bases (Google Drive, Obsidian, and Notion). We operate on a strict privacy-first model: all conversation extraction, formatting, and file export happens entirely within your local browser. Triadica ApS does not operate external databases or servers to collect, track, store, or sell your chat contents or personal data.
2. Google Drive & Sheets — OAuth Access
The Extension requests access using the following Google OAuth scopes, all of which are non-sensitive:
drive.file— Create, edit, and manage only the files the Extension generates (e.g., your “Triadica Chat Archive” folder and its conversation archive index sheet). Cannot view, read, edit, or delete any other pre-existing files in your Drive. Your Google Sheets index is created and updated under this scope, as it is a file the Extension itself created.userinfo.email— Read the email address of the Google account you connect, so the Extension can show which account your archive is saved to.userinfo.profile— Read basic profile information (name, avatar) for the connected account, used only for display within the Extension.
Duplicate archives are avoided using file names the Extension stores locally, not by scanning your Drive.
All communication with Google occurs via direct, encrypted client-side API requests between your browser and Google’s official OAuth servers. No OAuth tokens, profile data, or file contents are ever transmitted to or stored on Triadica servers.
You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account Permissions page.
3. Obsidian Vault — Local File Writes
The Extension writes markdown files (with YAML frontmatter, tags, and metadata) to your local Obsidian vault using Chrome’s native messaging host. This is a direct, local filesystem write — no data leaves your machine. The Extension only writes to the vault folder you specify.
4. Notion — Optional Integration
Pro and Founding Member tiers can push archived conversations to a Notion workspace. This uses the Notion API with a token you provide. The Extension sends only the conversation content you explicitly push — no automatic syncing. Your Notion token is stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.
5. AI Enrichment Processing
The Extension can generate TL;DR summaries, keyword tags, and categories for archived conversations.
- Default (local): Enrichment runs via Ollama on your local machine. No conversation data leaves your device.
- Optional cloud fallback: If you configure a cloud AI provider (e.g., DeepSeek, Anthropic, OpenAI) by entering an API key in the Extension settings, conversation text is sent directly to that provider’s API for summarization. This is opt-in and only activates when local Ollama is unavailable. The API key is stored in
chrome.storage.localand never sent to Triadica.
You are solely responsible for compliance with your chosen AI provider’s terms when using the cloud fallback.
6. Website Permissions & DOM Parsing
The Extension uses Manifest V3 content scripts to read conversation elements (user prompts, AI responses, code snippets, timestamps) directly from the browser DOM. This processing is strictly client-side and applies exclusively to the following supported platforms:
- ChatGPT (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com)
- Claude (claude.ai)
- Gemini (gemini.google.com)
- Perplexity (perplexity.ai)
- DeepSeek (chat.deepseek.com)
- Grok (grok.com)
- Kimi (kimi.moonshot.cn, kimi.com)
- Qwen (chat.qwen.ai)
The Extension reads these pages only when you initiate an archive action — it does not monitor pages passively.
7. Data Storage & Retention
- Local configuration: Your extension preferences, folder IDs, and session state are stored in
chrome.storage.local(encrypted at rest by Chrome). This data persists until you uninstall the Extension. - No server-side storage: Triadica does not store any of your data on its servers. Files saved to Google Drive or Obsidian remain in your personal storage accounts.
- Uninstalling: Removes all local configuration data. Files previously saved to Google Drive or Obsidian remain untouched.
8. No Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your personal information, prompt histories, or generated files to third parties. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
9. GDPR Rights
As a Danish company, Triadica ApS is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold (we hold none server-side).
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data (uninstall the Extension and revoke Google access).
- Portability: Your archived conversations are already in your Google Drive and Obsidian vault — they are yours.
- Object: Request that we stop processing your data.

10. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not intended for use by individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
